Phase

Dragonfly : dissolution

Waterfowl : peripheral

Woman : beckoning

Sky : everywhere

Fascinating in its simplicity!
TY very much for posting this. :)

This poem evokes memory of bygone summers. Innocent teenaged summers filled with long nature hikes by day and starry campfire haiku readings by night.

My mind tints a canvas with the background hues of 'sky: everywhere,' then brushes an outdoor scene over the sky, using other words such as dragonfly, waterfowl, and 'woman: beckoning.'

Next, my mind fills in the fine details of scene and story with unwritten, palpable implications, and unscripted, but numerous, possibilities. :)

I could probably meditate on this 'Phase' for hours. Given that I suddenly have a bit more solitary time lately, I might just do that!
